Shaving Foam Writing

Shaving Foam Writing

This is a super easy activity!

This YouTube video shows you what to do…

All you need is:

  • Shaving foam (please check your child isn’t allergic first by doing a small patch test on their skin)
  • A baking tray.

Spray the shaving cream on a tray then let your child write and draw in the shaving foam using their fingers. You could have your own tray to model writing different shapes, letters and numbers. You could also put in magnetic letters and numbers for them to trace with the shaving foam.

If your child isn’t keen on touching the shaving foam with their hands you could use a paintbrush or a smooth stick, this is good for helping them learn how to hold a pencil, strengthening their muscles ready for writing.

Most of all let your child have fun and enjoy exploring!

‘Children are captivated by their learning’, ‘The well-being of pupils is at the heart of the school’, ‘School is a calm place - pupils are polite, courteous and well-mannered.'
