Thomas Jolyffe Primary School

Welcome

Welcome to Thomas Jolyffe Primary School

Welcome to our website and to Thomas Jolyffe Primary School, or TJ as it is more affectionately known!

TJ is a two form entry school serving a varied and vibrant community.  We endeavour to keep the needs of the families that we serve at the heart of everything that we do.

Our school motto is ‘To be the best that we can be’ and we recognise the valuable support from families in living up to this principle and we actively encourage family involvement in school life.

I am proud to lead a school community that is committed to doing the very best that it can for every child and every family, ensuring that through respect and understanding we motivate each child to do his or her very best. I strongly believe that this is the reason why our children achieve so well and make such good progress.

We know that school is a valuable grounding for children’s future lives, but we also know the value of the here and now. That is why we hope that every day, every child will find school to be an engaging, stimulating and enjoyable experience where the joy of learning together is paramount.

That, of course, is a never ending process, and that is why our school motto is so important.

I hope that you will enjoy exploring these pages, where we aim to give you a flavour of the life at our school and share some of our many exciting activities and achievements.
