Welcome to our website and to Thomas Jolyffe Primary School.
As you can see above, our school motto is 'To be the best that we can be', which is being brought to life with excellent SATS results. We were very proud that our progress in Key Stage 2 SATS across all subjects in 2012 was within the top 7% of schools in the country. Statistics also showed that Thomas Jolyffe has improved attainment and progress levels over the last 6 years.
Thomas Jolyffe is a two form entry school, serving a varied and vibrant community where we endeavour to keep the needs of the families we serve at the heart of everything that we do. We recognise the valuable support from families in living the school motto and actively encourage your involvement in school life. The partnership we have with our parents is a key ingredient in the success children at Thomas Jolyffe enjoy - more details on academic and sporting achievements are contained in the relevant sections of the website.
I am proud to lead a school community that is committed to doing the very best that it can for every child and every family, ensuring that through respect and understanding we motivate each child to achieve his or her personal best.
We know that school is an essential grounding for children’s future lives, but we also know the value of the here and now, and we hope that each day every child will find school to be an engaging, stimulating and enjoyable experience where the joy of learning together is paramount.
That, of course, is a never ending process and that is why our school motto, ‘To be the best that we can be’ is so important.
