Messy Play

We love messy play in Reception - not only is it lots of fun, it also offers a wealth of learning and development benefits.

Messy play -

Helps children to develop imaginative skills as they engage and explore freely

Encourages curiosity about the world around them

Helps to develop communication and language skills

Empowers children to make choices and encourages independence

Nurtures good concentration skills as children become absorbed in an activity

Promotes physical development, both fine and and gross motor skills

It’s fun and builds memories and your bond with your child... and the best learning is always fun!

Safety  -

These activities are for children to enjoy under the supervision of a responsible adult to ensure safety at all times, remember to wash those hands before and after messy play and above all else have fun!

‘Children are captivated by their learning’, ‘The well-being of pupils is at the heart of the school’, ‘School is a calm place - pupils are polite, courteous and well-mannered.'
