Have a go at the Friday Maths Challenge.
The most suitable questions for Year 6 are questions 1-6. But why not work with your family on the rest of the problems?
Today you will be using all that you have looked at this week and writing your own leaflet! Good luck!
Lesson 4 - Angles in a triangle - Missing angles
In this session we will be focusing on the formal tone of your writing. Follow the instructions and the activities and remember; feel free to email us your work if you would like to share it with us.
Summer term - Lesson 3 - Angles in a triangle - special cases
Today we will be looking at the features of a leaflet, in preparation for writing our own later in the week.
This activity follows on from yesterday's lesson, but this time the focus is understanding words in context of the report. This is vital for comprehension of any text, especially if we do not initially understand some vocabulary.
Summer Term Week 1 - Lesson 2 - Angles in a triangle
Summer Term - Week 1 - Vertically opposite angles
You will need to measure angles again in this lesson. If you don't have a protractor can you estimate the measurements using your knowledge of angles? You can use the answer sheet to check whether you were close.
This week we will be looking at writing information leaflets. Something we have looked at during the first term of year 6, but now we are going to look in more detail and start to consider the formal language used by the end of the week.
