L.O. Divide 2-digits by one digit and find a remainder

This is another lesson that recaps your learning from year 3. In this lesson it is important that you say out loud the sentences that you are given and include the missing numbers. e.g. There are _____ groups of ___. There are ______ remaining. This will help you understand and remember what we are doing when we divide. It will help you in future be able to tackle complex problems.  If you do the work from the display worksheet, say and write the sentences in your book. If use the printable worksheet say them aloud.

You will look at division using counters, so try and find some coins or counters to use yourself at home, and you examine what division looks like on a number line.

L.O. To compare the geography of the UK and Chile

The main task in this lesson is to complete a poster that compares the features of the two countries. Listen to the video and make jottings or draw picture prompts to remind you what the teacher is saying so that you have enough information to do the poster. If you want to you could get creative with your poster and do it on paper in different colours, drawing your own pictures,  to make it stand out. You could, if you wished, do it as a  PowerPoint slide or cut and paste pictures into a word document. The choice of how you choose to do it is up to you. Your poster should however have some words as well as pictures.
