L.O. To name the countries of South America and find out about the physical features of the continent
We are moving on in geography today, to start to explore the continent of South Ameica. In this lesson you will revise the names of the 7 continents of the world. Pause the video to colour in the continent map below and name the continents, if you are able to print. Remember to colour neatly as this is an important geographical skill. If you aren't able to print, point to the different capitals on the screen.
The teacher then names each of the countries in South America. Again, there is a map below for you to print, colour and write on the names of the countries. Some of the countries are only small so you may have to write the name of them (neatly) in the sea and draw an arrow pointing to the country on the map.
Other activities in this lesson include: writing the physical features of the area in which you live - maybe think of Stratford or even Warwickshire; writing sentences from the sentence starters you are given on the screen and describing where, in South America, you would like to visit and why.
