BATTLE OF THE BANDS

At the end of the second day 3T still hold the lead with 13,183 points, with 3K on 10,653 points.  Well done to all who have contributed to the scores.  At one point during the day, the gap was considerably wider but 3K once again made a concerted effort to catch up. There's still all to play for in the next 3 days, so keep getting involved. Every point counts!

The leader board at the end of day 2 saw the overall leader coming once again from 3K. Well done Joe Michele who has clocked up a magnificent score of 3,166. In 3T the top two leaders were swapping places all day, but at 7pm Vicki Pundik held the lead with 2,651 points.  A great effort, well done to you too. 

Remember the battle is being fiercely fought all the way until Friday at 3:30pm, so keep rockin'!

English – Wednesday 24^th June 2020

Hello again, well done for making it half way through the week! For today’s English lesson we are going to read/watch the next chapter of the story called ‘The Parents’, on the audiobook you will need to start at 1 hour, 18 minutes and 36 seconds and finish at 1 hour 30 minutes and 24 seconds. I have also attached a copy of the chapter below in a pdf.

In this chapter, the Miss Honey doesn't have much success when she tries to talk to Matilda's parents about her talents. For today’s task, I would like you to write a letter from Miss Honey to Matilda’s parents explaining what she was trying to tell them. You will need to explain that you have noticed how advanced Matilda is with her reading and would like to help her expand her knowledge. Remember that she has had a disagreement with the Wormwoods so might want to mention that the discussion didn’t go to plan when she went their house. I have attached a letter opening below to help get you started.
