LO: To edit an explanation text

In this lesson, we will edit the writing we have so far completed for our explanation text. We will focus on both correcting and improving our writing. You will need your opening, harvesting and roasting sections of your explanation text for today's lesson. In the lesson, you are shown two passages to have a go at editing. These are in the document below - print this off and have a go at editing and improving the text. If you can't print, they are on the screen of the video.

L.O. To express yourself and your mood creatively

Today we would like you to watch the rest of the assembly and then we want you do do something to express yourself. Now that could be simply going and putting on clothes that reflects your mood, singing in the shower, drawing a picture, creating a self portrait. You do not have to share what you do but we would love you to tell us in the Teams meeting this afternoon if you would like to. The main thing is that you have fun!

Safer Internet Day 2021

Today is Safer Internet Day 2021. This is an international day to raise awareness about how important it is to stay safe when you are online. Here is a very short video about what the internet is:

Key things to remember:

• The internet is a brilliant resource that you can use to do lots of different things

• It’s not always your fault if you come across nasty stuff on the internet

• The best thing to do if you see something online that worries you or makes you feel uncomfortable is:

  • close it down by clicking the X button at the top left of the screen

  • tell your parents/guardians or your teachers as soon as possible
