L.O. To write a character description

This morning, I’d like you to try to combine your character ideas and research from yesterday's lesson  into a paragraph or two describing the animal character that you have chosen.  You are aiming to use your writing to create a picture so that the reader can really understand what the character is like.

 

Try to:

  • include movement as well as the five senses

  • vary sentence starters, using fronted adverbials.

  • Use different descriptive techniques-  expanded noun phrases, alliteration and similes 

  • Check your writing carefully for spelling and punctuation A . ? ! ( ) 

 

Why not spend some time today creating your animal using a variety of art tools (pens, paint, collage).

‘Children are captivated by their learning’, ‘The well-being of pupils is at the heart of the school’, ‘School is a calm place - pupils are polite, courteous and well-mannered’
