English – Tuesday 30th June 2020
Welcome back! Today we are going to carry on from yesterday’s lesson by writing a recipe for Miss Trunchbull’s cake. Remember a recipe needs to have a clear set of instructions so that anyone who uses it can follow each step and bake the same cake each time. I have included an example recipe to help you, although your cake may have some more interesting ingredients and cooking methods. I have also included a writing template for to use if you wish. We would love to see the recipes you create so please do send them to Mrs Karban and I!

Draw accurately
For this lesson you will need a 30 cm ruler and your angle measure. There is a ruler that you can print out (see link below) if you don't have one at home, but drawing a straight line against a paper ruler will be quite tricky! In this lesson you will need to remember how you learnt to hold a ruler straight so that it doesn't move on the page.
First of all please watch Mr Crocker's video that he made for Year 4 that will introduce you to different units of length and how they can be measured. Although this is meant for Year 4 you may find it quite interesting to watch. After, please watch my video for your lesson today.
