Miss T's English Introduction

Still image for this video

English – Tuesday 16th June 2020

Welcome back! Today we are going to meet a new character and create an image of her form what we read/hear. To begin with, I would like you to listen to half of the next chapter from 52 minutes 43 seconds to 55 minutes and 55 seconds. Now that we have been introduced to Miss Honey, I would like you to use Roald Dahl's descriptions to help you draw her. You could use a pencil, crayons, paint, or any materials you have at home. For an extra challenge, you could include phrases from the text and label your picture. Alternatively, you could create your own descriptive phrases that link to Roald Dahl’s description of her. Please send us your images, as they would look fantastic on the website or Twitter!

Maths - Tuesday 16th June 2020  - Calculating time by moving  forwards and backwards on a clock

Today you are going to work out new times by moving forwards and backwards on a clock. This lesson will help you with the lesson tomorrow on finding time duration. There is a lesson and an activity set for you on My Maths called, ‘Time Between’. Do the lesson first making sure you do all the pages by clicking ‘Next’ on the bottom right of the screen. When the 'Next' button doesn’t show any more move onto the next number down the side of the screen.

After you have been through the lesson have a go at the activity set. You can do the lesson and activity more than once if you find it tricky. Each time you have a go, the questions will change on the activity.
