There are three topic lessons this week to finish our Geography topic, Understanding Brazil.

Monday 8th February

Who lives in the Amazon Rainforest?

 

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world and locating Brazil on a map. We will then zoom into the north western region of Brazil and look at an example of a community living in the Amazon rainforest.

 

Today, watch the video and then do some research online about the Amazon rainforest. What can you find out?  Write 3 facts you have learnt from the video or your own research and draw a picture.

Tuesday 9th February

Why is the Amazon rainforest declining in size?

 

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world and locating Brazil on a map. We will then focus on the Amazon rainforest. We will look at reasons why it is so important to life on Earth; why it is declining in size each year and what we can do to help to protect it.

Wednesday 10th February 

Why is Brazil difficult to describe?

 

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world and locating Brazil on a map. We will combine all of our learning in this unit to explain the diversity of Brazil.
