This week we are continuing with our Geography topic, Understanding Brazil. 

 

Monday 1st February 

How do experiences within Rio de Janeiro differ?

 

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world, before zooming into South America and locating Brazil. We are going to look at a case study of Rio de Janeiro, and the different experiences people have in different parts of the city.

 

Today can you watch the video and find Rio de Janeiro on a map. Tell a grown up 3 things you found out about the city.

How are populations within Brazil moving?

 

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world, before zooming into South America and locating Brazil. We are going to look at the population of Brazil and explore the reasons why some people are choosing to move from rural areas to urban areas.

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world, before zooming into South America and locating Brazil. We are going to look at the different seasonal weather patterns in Brazil.

How is the weather in Brazil different than the UK?

 

In this lesson we will recap our knowledge of the seven continents in the world and locating Brazil on a map. We will then look at weather patterns in the UK and compare these to the different weather we explored in Brazil last lesson.

 

1. Watch the video. How is the weather in Brazil different to the weather here? Draw us a picture of what you think Brazil looks like based on what you have learnt about its weather. What are the people doing and wearing in Brazilian weather?
