Thomas Jolyffe Primary School

Keeping your children safe online

The online world is central to most things we do, and although frustrating at times, it also represents an ever-increasing risk to children, and it is important that we work together teaching children about online safety and risks. Learning how to act appropriately when using the internet is an incredibly important part of safeguarding children at Thomas Jolyffe.

For the benefit of all our families we have membership of National Online Safety. An invaluable, always up to date resource including Parents & Carers courses (presented by Myleene Klass), online video resources and weekly guides covering a huge range of topics, including social media platforms, screen addiction, the dark web, games and trends, fake news and everything else besides. These one-page guides on games, sites and trending apps are phenomenally useful for parents who are familiar with the feeling that their children are already one step ahead of them.
