Thomas Jolyffe Primary School

Welcome back!

We hope that you have all had a wonderful half term week. We are looking forward to seeing you all back on Teams this morning ready for another fun week of home learning.  This is going to be an exciting week with all the school getting involved in an Art project. For those of you who really don't want to get involved, there will be a music lesson for you to do instead. However, we do not expect anyone to do both the Art activities and music each day.

Date: 22.02.21

L.O. To convert pounds and pence

The teaching for today's lesson will be done on the morning Team's session. If you are unable to join us for that, try listening to the video afterwards. In the lesson you will be learning how to convert pounds into pence and pence into pounds using decimal notation.

Worksheets and PowerPoint of Questions - the coins in the pictures can be seen clearly on this. This has been amended on Monday morning at 10:30am

Remember, in addition to the answers written on the sheet below, you were also asked to write the amounts in £ e.g. £3 and 50p should also have been written as £3.50

Over the next two weeks our English will be a bit different! We are going to be exploring some poetry. We hope you really enjoy the two poems this week smiley

Today and tomorrow we are looking at a poem by Michael Rosen called Don't. Below is a document with today's work - including a link to listen to the poem. Also below is a copy of the poem for you to read yourself.
