L.O. To find factors of numbers

In this lesson you will develop your understanding of factors. Remember in the calculation 6 x 3 = 18. We call 6 and 3 factors of 18. The other term we know is the 'product' which in this calculation is 18.

For this lesson it would help if you could find somethings that you can use as counters so that you can create arrays. These could be counters you may have in a game, coins or even blobs of blue tac or playdoh.

Factor pairs

Pause the video when the teacher asks a question to try to answer it. Do the questions on the worksheet when you are told to do so.

L.O. To compare the Artic and Antarctic

In this lesson, we will explore the regions of the Arctic and the Antarctic, finding similarities and differences between them. Pause the video when told to do so to write the sentences in your book filling in the missing words or a writing true or false at the end of them.

Below are some worksheets. These do not have to be printed. Instead of printing them you could;

1. Point to the Arctic and Antarctic on the map on the screen

2. Write the name of the animal and its habitat straight into your books

3. Draw the diagram yourself in your book - this is the optional challenge task.

Challenge task

Write the similarities and differences discussed in the video into a diagram,

‘Children are captivated by their learning’, ‘The well-being of pupils is at the heart of the school’, ‘School is a calm place - pupils are polite, courteous and well-mannered’
