Monday 22nd June

Good morning year 5!  We hope that you have had a good weekend.  This week in school it is National Sports week. If your parent or carer goes onto this website https://www.youthsporttrust.org/national-school-sport-week-home they can register to get lots of free and easy to use resources.  Don’t forget that there are lots of other activities now on the TJ website – clubs, Mr Penn’s assemblies and Mrs Preedy’s break time to name but a few.  We would also love to add your smiles onto our class page, so please email them to us!  Have a great day – we will be seeing you all very soon, we hope.

Maths: Monday 22nd June

In today’s maths lessons we are starting to look at symmetry in shapes and reflecting in a mirror line.  Firstly look at the BBC link below, and have a go at the activity below the video.

Then log onto Mymaths.  Go to geometry, position and direction and lines of symmetry.  Work through the lesson and have a go at the home-learning which we have set.

English: Monday 22nd June

Spellings:  Mrs Anderson finds the easiest way to learn these spellings is by saying them out loud and pronouncing the silent letter! Use the spellings in a sentence if you understand the meaning.  If not look the word up in a dictionary and write out a definition of the word.
