This lesson is a recap lesson from year 4, involving dividing 4 digits by 1 digit with remainders.  It models using a place value grid, although we will be working up to using the short bus stop method.

Wednesday 20th January

To divide 3 digit numbers by 1 digit

In this lesson, you will recap dividing 3 digits by 1 digit, using partitioning.

You can choose to complete the Whiterose sheet, or, if you prefer and are happy to use the short bus stop method, practise with the "Divide using bus stop method" sheet.

Thursday 21st January 

To divide 4 digits by 1 digit with no remainders

In this lesson you will be dividing larger numbers by 1 digit, using the short bus stop method. Refer to the power point to remind you of the strategy to complete this.

Friday 22nd January

Divide 4 digits by 1 digit with remainders

This last lesson on dividing involves dividing larger numbers by 1 digit, which have a remainder.  You can either choose to do the WR sheet, or choose the "Friday's maths with remainders" which simply uses the bus stop method.
