English – Friday 19^th  June 2020

Well done for making it to Friday!

First, spelling test time. Take your time to have a practice (like we would at school) and then ask a parent or guardian to test you. You could then work together to check through them. 

The second activity for today is to compare the 2 new character’s we have met this week, Miss Honey and Miss Trunchbull. From all they character work we have completed this week, I would like you to outline the similarities and difference between the teachers. I have attached a venn diagram below that you could use for some inspiration. Remember, similarities go in the middle of the diagram, where the circles overlap, and the differences in the outer sections.

Time and Tide

It’s Problem Solving Friday and today you have another reasoning challenge.

What you need to do is look at the photographs on the website below and think about what you can say about when these photographs were taken.

What time is each picture showing?

What clues do you look for in the pictures?

Can you tell by looking at the clocks in the pictures if it’s am or pm?

Can you explain your reasoning?

You could either talk to the person caring for you or write down your thoughts.
