Friday

English – Friday 12th  June 2020

Well done for making it to Friday!

First, spelling test time. Take your time to have a practice (like we would at school) and then ask a parent or guardian to test you. You could then work together to check through them.

The second activity for today is to write your recount from the point of view of your chosen character. Remember to include the following:

  • First person pronoun (I, my),
  • Write in chronological order (order the events happened in),
  • Time conjunctions (first, then, after that).

Please let us know how you get on and have a wonderful weekend!

Maths - Friday 12th June 2020

It's problem solving Friday again!

Today, the problem is one that you can play against the person looking after you or you can play against the computer.

Read the problem on the web link and then go on to the interactive activity.

Note to Parents: Although the game says it is for 5 -7 year olds, I think it's pretty tricky and, as the instructions on the web page tell you, the challenging part is trying to come up with a winning strategy. If you think you have a strategy, email me and tell me what the strategy is. I can then put it on the class web page for others to try. Good luck!

Today's Puzzle - How many? Maybe today you will need to do some estimating.
