Autumn term 1

Welcome to the Juniors! We hope you all enjoyed your summer and are looking forward to the new term. We are certainly excited!

This half term our first topic is ‘Extreme Survival’. Our initial focus will be shelters and we will go on to learn about different extreme environments around the world.

We will be looking at two English topics including writing a set of instructions to catch some very dangerous creatures and looking at an exciting journey story set in the time of the Vikings!

We are really pleased with how all the children are settling in. Keep up the good work!

School Lunch Information

In Year 3, your child will no longer be entitled to ‘universal free school dinners’ and you will need to pay for them via Parent Pay before any meals are taken.  However, if you are in receipt of certain benefits, your child may be entitled to ‘benefits based free school meals’.  To check and apply online, go to www.warwickshire.gov.uk/freeschoolmeals.  You need to do this from 4th July onwards (but before start of the autumn term).

Please find below the marking code that is used throughout the year 3 and the rest of the school.
