Thomas Jolyffe Primary School

School Council

Our School Council meets every two weeks to discuss current school issues and help form school policy on a range of matters which are of importance to our  children.  Our councillors are there to represent the thoughts, ideas and feelings of all children in our learning community.

If you have any ideas please see your class representative who will note them down ready to present at our next meeting.

If you have any other  matters that you would like our School Council to work on, again please do speak to your class representative.

January 2018

After a busy start to the new term, the School Council have got together to review our projects for this year. We are currently looking at improving the school play equipment (Project Playground!) and would appreciate any ideas for fundraisers that pupils or families would be willing to organise in order to fund this. During our next meeting we will be joined by Helen O'Hara from Class Catering in order to discuss feedback from pupils about the school lunches. So, make sure you share your thoughts with your class representative so that they can feedback your ideas!

... Please can we remind you again to NOT send in any nuts or nut products (this includes Nutella) in your child's packed lunches. We have children in our school with very severe allergies. Thank you ... Thomas Jolyffe Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff, volunteers and parents to share this commitment ... Please help FTJ raise money by shopping and booking holidays online through easyfundraising.org.uk ... Please check your ParentPay account regularly and ensure that sufficient funds are always available - this will ensure that the office do not have to call you during the day to chase payments ... Please remember that only disabled badge holders and those with school parking permits are allowed to park in the school car park ...
