Football Report—Thomas Jolyffe Vs Alveston


Our team comprised of Jack, Lucas, Harry, George, Jamie, Ben, James, Ryan, Max & Michael. The team played well and we drew 1 all. Unfortunately an own goal was scored in the last second but Max scored a cracking goal from a corner.


The boys' football tournament took place at Blue Coat Church of England School in Coventry after school on Wednesday last week.


Unfortunately we did not win but everyone played really well. The first team included Michal, George, Harvey, Zac, John, Charlie and Ryan. Ryan scored 2 goals in the first game and one in the second.

The second team included Ben, Lucas, Jack, Noah, Jamie, Salahdin and James. They drew two games and won one which went to goal difference.


Well done to everyone who took part, you represented Thomas Jolyffe excellently!

Monday 9 October – Boys' Football vs The Willows Away

This was the boys' first match of the academic year. It was a really good team performance, but unfortunately they lost the game 3-1. Ryan was the scorer of the TJ goal.

The team that played The Willows was: Jack, Lucas C, Harry, Max, Ben, James, George, Charlie and Ryan.


Monday 16 October – Boys' Football vs St Greg's at Home

Our boys displayed a brilliant performance in this game, beating local rivals St Greg's 6-0, with the goals being shared around the team. The goal scorers were BenX2, GeorgeX2, Max and Charlie.

The team that played St Greg's was: Jack, Lucas C, Harry, Max, Ben, James, George, Charlie and Ryan.


Tuesday 17 October – Girls' Football vs Bidford Away

This was the girls' first game together as a team this season, as they looked to continue from the runners up position from last year’s girls' football league. This was a brilliant first performance against a very strong and physical Bidford team. The girls came away 1-0 victors, with Abbi getting the goal for TJ.

The team that played Bidford was: Abigail, Jasmine, Marley, Amelia, Ella, Rubi, Imogen, Olivia, Lucy and Abbi.
