Mr Drummond


Our Year 6 teacher Mr Drummond will be taking on Tough Mudder in May raising money for Children with Cancer UK. This is a half marathon which takes place off-road with a series of challenging obstacles along the way. Well done to everyone who took part. We raised just over £350 which is a fantastic amount.

Christmas Jumper Day

A big thank you to everyone who donated and took part in our Christmas Jumper Day before Christmas. We raised a brilliant £279.55. Thank you for your support.

Poppy Appeal

Friday 10 February – Save the Children Syrian Refugee Fundraiser

Year 6 raised £304.35 at their Cake Sale and Beat the Keeper Event.  Well done, Year 6!

We raised £250 on Jolly Christmas Jumper Day: £125 for the Shakespeare Hospice and £125 for FTJ. 
Thank you for helping with the Poppy Appeal.  We collected £225.69.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Macmillan coffee morning on 30 September - we made £605.27 for this fantastic cause!

In April Thomas Jolyffe Primary School raised an amazing £2243.35 for the NSPCC’s Speak Out Stay Safe Programme.


The NSPCC’s Speak Out Stay Safe programme visited our school to make sure our children have the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse. 


In order to raise funds children were sponsored to do the following:

· Key Stage 1 did a sponsored skip or throw-and-catch for one minute

· Year 3 took part in a variety of Chinese games.

· Year 4 did Country dancing

· Upper Key Stage 2 pupils did a sponsored 1 mile run/walk.

  • We raised an impressive £719 for Sports Relief.  Thank you to Mr Nicholls for organising this event and to everyone who made cakes and donations. 
  • We raised £571.61 for Mission Rwentobo in memory of Alex Green at our Christmas productions - thank you for your donations.

Comic Relief 2015

We raised £444.48 on Red Nose Day!  Thank you for donating your pennies and 2p pieces.

Wellie Walk

Congratulations to our Reception classes and Clopton Nursery for their highly successful Wellie Walk held in February.  They raised an incredible £710.75 for Myton Hospice.  The children enjoyed their fun afternoon and we would like to thank all those who supported them by making donations.
