Thomas Jolyffe Primary School

Thomas Jolyffe Primary School believes EVERY child should have access to a bookshelf in their bedroom, with a selection of books they can read, share, read, change and read again.

If you already have a bookshelf with children’s books at home, snap a quick picture and send it into school for our TJ Bookshelfie Month 2018. Alternatively, email it directly to or tweet to @TJPrimary with the hashtag #TJBookshelfie

School benefits from the Own Books scheme: a charity organisation aimed at proving books for all children to take home, read and swap. Every single child in school is able to use these books so we recommend coming and having a browse at the shelves marked ‘Own Books’ in our library areas.

If you don’t have a bookshelf - do not fear, school will happily fund a shelf for you free of charge.

If you can’t put the shelf up, please speak to one of the following who will come and fit it for you FREE OF CHARGE!

Your photo must show you, your bookshelf and a selection of children’s books! We can’t wait to see what fantastic #BookShelfies there are out there.
